Facility access
Drop-in fitness schedules are available online and are posted near the front desk and the entrances to each room. We attempt to post all events and rental reservation information.
All-user locker rooms
We have two single-occupant all-user locker rooms. These are also known as all-gender or non-gendered. These locker rooms may be used by a person of any gender and are located near the entrance to the men’s and women’s locker rooms on the first floor of the gym. Lockers are available in the locker room and can be reserved at the gym’s front desk.
Who can use the facilities
PCC students (credit, CEU, Community Education)
Present your validated Student ID to the Issue Room staff and provide proof of enrollment in at least one credit PCC class (or the equivalent cost in CEU or Community Education classes).
If you’re not enrolled in PE classes, you must pay the?PE facility use fee at Student Account Services and present proof of payment at the gym front desk.
PCC faculty and staff
Benefit-eligible (Health Insurance, Vacation Leave, Sick Leave) employees can present a PCC Staff ID card to the front desk and request a locker.
Employees who are not eligible for benefits at PCC, and who are not enrolled in a PE or Dance activity class, must pay the?PE facility use fee?at?Student Account Services?and present proof of payment at the gym front desk.
Retired faculty and staff
Provide identification verifying their previous employment at Portland Community College.
Simple rules
- PCC’s Cascade Gym is for current PCC students and employees
- Check in at the front desk with your PCC ID
- Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for exercise; no bare torsos, closed-toe athletic shoes
- Don’t bring food, drinks, or bags into fitness areas (water is ok)
- Clean up after yourself and put everything you use away when done
- Music must be listened to with headphones or earbuds, not on speaker
- Tell the front desk staff if you are injured or discover broken equipment
