Required immunizations
All applicants for PCC Medical Imaging programs (Radiography, MRI, Computed Tomography, and VIR) need to be aware of the following requirements if selected for placement into a clinical setting.
This program includes or requires educational experiences that take place in clinical/field environments. The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) Public Health Division requires students in clinical/field environments to comply with vaccination requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination. Students are also required to pass a criminal background check and drug screenings. Students will receive specific instructions and documentation forms for these processes at the mandatory orientation following program admission.
These requirements follow state guidelines and without successful completion of all segments of the process, students cannot enter a clinical setting. Due to the cost of each immunization or titer, applicants should contact their healthcare providers to determine what will be insurance eligible or patient responsibility. This information is made available early to allow students time to gather medical information that verifies the immunizations or proof of immunity by titers (blood samples).
