Maritime Welding, Career Pathway certificate
The Maritime Welding Certificate provides training in welding theory and application for the marine industry will be the primary emphasis of your learning. Focus includes:
- Ship Fitting
- Oxyfuel Cutting
- Carbon Arc Gouging (CAC-A)
- Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
- Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
You will gain knowledge and skills to be able to weld both indoor and the outdoor settings in all weather conditions and in confined spaces.
You will test for a range of maritime recognized certifications including ABS, AWS and NAVSEA certifications.
After completing this certificate, you can apply for entry-level welding positions. The maritime welding content will give students you a competitive advantage for positions in shipyard environments.
