Services
The PCC Dental Clinic provides free preventive and limited restorative dental services to the community, PCC faculty, staff, and students. Dental assisting and dental hygiene students perform all services under the supervision and guidance of licensed, professional dental hygienists and dentists. Services are provided to patients of all ages.
Since our students are learning, services may take several appointments. Each of these appointments can last up to three and a half (3.5) hours in length. Patients accepted in our clinic must be able to make this time commitment. Our clinic runs on a term based schedule and is closed during the summer months. We are unable to provide emergency services and are unable to be considered as your primary care provider.
A treatment plan will be developed to meet your oral health needs and may include:
- Health screening with blood pressure check and oral cancer screening
- Dental examination
- Dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Intraoral photographs
- Oral hygiene instruction with home care kit
- Oral prophylaxis (teeth cleaning)
- Non-surgical periodontal care (deep cleaning)
- Denture/removable appliance cleaning
- Fluoride treatment
- Sealants
- Simple dental restorations (fillings)
We do not offer advanced dental treatments such as root canals, extractions, crown or bridge services, TMJ treatment, or large cavity fillings. Our services are not intended to replace comprehensive dental care provided by your dentist.
