Introduces Caterpillar basic diesel engine theory and service procedures. Covers principles of compression ignited internal combustion engines and design variations. Utilizes Caterpillar engines to disassemble and assemble in the lab. Requires a dealer letter indicating secured internship at a participating Caterpillar Dealership. (See course content and outcomes.)
