How The Voice Works: Vocal Mechanics for Singers
Improve your singing technique by exploring the basics of vocal anatomy and physiology. No matter what style of singing you enjoy, exploring the fundamentals of the voice can help demystify how we sing and what we expect from our singing.
Each week we explore a new vocal skill, the parts of the body that are responsible for its production and control, and the physiology (logic of the body) which governs its function. This "form follows function" approach sharpens singers' comprehension of producing sounds as well as how we physically adapt to different musical styles.
