PE199B Rock Climbing II
This class builds upon the skills covered in the Rock Climbing I course, including advanced belay techniques, belay/rappel transitions, and anchor building in a sport climbing environment. Students will develop a plan to improve their climbing techniques, strength and endurance. Requirement: The ability to travel to local indoor rock climbing gyms or the Rock Creek climbing wall to practice techniques and skills. Transportation to and from the climbing facility, as well as the ability to pay a facility use fee to the climbing facility. Facility use fee varies. Prerequisites: PE 183D or equivalent rock climbing and belay techniques. Audit available. (See course content and outcomes.)
