  4. In the body of the email, write four sentences about four important events in the life of another person, not you.? This could be your mother, your father, your brother, your sister, your friend, your son, etc.? For example, “My father was born in New York on December 4, 1948.”? The sentences must be in time order.? The sentences must be in simple past.? What happened first?? What happened second?? Check your work with eagle eyes for spelling, capitalization, punctuation, grammar, and meaning.

  • negative simple past sentences with didn’t

  • wh- questions and yes/no questions in simple past

  • base form of the verb for simple past negative sentences and questions

  • final -ed for regular simple past verbs

  • irregular simple past verbs
  • vocabulary for important events:? apply/applied for a visa, become/became a citizen, buy/bought a house, celebrate/celebrated a birthday, fall/fell in love, find/found a job, get/got married, graduate/graduated, grow up/grew up, have/had a baby, retire/retired, be/was/were born
  • short answers for simple past questions (Yes, I did./No, I didn’t./Yes, he was./No, he wasn’t.)
  • writing about yourself in the simple past
