Create a realistic painting by using techniques like grisaille, under painting, glazing, and ala prima. Bring to first class: a set of oil colors, assorted brushes, canvas, galkyd, linseed oil, pencils, sketchbook, gamsol.

Learn about the shadow and atmospheric perspective in landscape and chiaroscuro in still life. The final project will be a portrait using the method of Venetian painting.
