Community Bed User Update:
Today is the 20th! That means your plot should be mulched with leaves to protect it from the rain. Laying leaves in your bed to a depth of 2-3″ will prevent the heavy rain from compacting your soil. If you have not already done so, no worries, we won’t take note until we come back from thanksgiving break. Enjoy the sunshine this week!
Upcoming Events:
Wheelbarrow Painting Contest – Jan 29, 30th – 11-2pm both days
This event is open to any club who wants to win prizes and bragging rights for decorating. Mark your calendars, more details to come.
Harvest Haiku by Jeffery:
The frost has fallen
Water pipes have been shut off
So they don’t explode
Bitter cold fingers
In our rainwater barrels
We now wash by hand
But there is one thing
Beautiful simplicity
A blast from the past
Garden Gossip Hibernation:
For those of you that have been enjoying the (mostly) weekly emails, I am sorry to report that Garden Gossip will be on hiatus for the holiday season. Because things are slowing down in the garden for winter, we have decided to quiet the chit chat. Please take solace in the fact that the gossip will resume during the new year.
