Community Bed User Update:
To those of you who are interested in renewing your beds for next year, I wanted to let you know that we will be starting the process at the beginning of March. In preparation for the turnover, I am hoping that we can glean some information from you about your experience this last year. My hope is that after you complete a short survey, we can use the information to make our program better for this upcoming growing season. So please, check your inboxes next week for another Learning Garden email.

Winter Photo Montage:
top left: Learning Garden snowfarmers, top right: volunteers transplanting our newly completed apple orchard, bottom left: the Childcare Center visits during the wheelbarrow painting contest to help the QRC decorate their contest entry, bottom right: the completed designs from the Welding Club, LAT Club, QRC, International Club, and Soccer Club. Big thanks to Jim Jeffery and his paint class for helping us seal up the student designs!
Current Events:
Celebrate Valentine’s Day all week and “Love your Earth” in the Bldg 3 Student Center from 10-4pm. The ASPCC Green Team will be trading your e-waste for chocolates. Later in the week we will also be trading red and pink tulip bulbs. So, make yourself a note to bring your e-waste in and love your earth!
Winter Volunteer Schedule:
For those of you just dying to get your hands dirty and play with us in the garden, we now have an official volunteer calendar! Come visit the garden any time during the shaded hours below and learn to grow your own food. In the coming weeks, we will be planting flower bulbs, sowing seeds in the greenhouse, spreading wood chips, and fixing our drip irrigation.
