Sustainability Policies and Plans
Portland Community College has many documents to guide us in our sustainability efforts, which contribute to the college’s ranking as the number one community college in the United States for sustainability according to the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education’s Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (AASHE STARS). Staff, faculty, and students are involved in developing these policies, plans, guides, and guidelines that govern the college. Scroll down to learn more about all of our sustainability guidance.

Board Policies

- Board Policy 1203: Values Statement – the college should be a good steward of the environment, engaging in energy-saving and environmental performance improvement strategies to the greatest extent possible.

- Integrated Pest Management Plan – college policy to approach pest management with the least possible risk to the health and well-being of students, staff, and the environment. This document helps maintain the college’s Bee Campus Certification
- PCC Design and Construction Standards – guidelines and requirements for designing and building new structures and for remodeling existing structures at PCC
