Renewable Energy
PCC can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions through consuming renewable energy. Renewable energy comes from a source that is naturally replenishing, e.g. the sun. By investing in clean, renewable energy, PCC is working towards energy security. PCC’s campus solar arrays power some of the college’s operations and buildings. Solar Array
Solar power is one of the most efficient forms of renewable energy. By converting energy from the sun into power, the college is lessening it’s reliance on energy from fossil fuels. This overall reduces the college’s carbon footprint and increases energy independence. This sign describes the solar array that was installed during the renovation of the HT building at Sylvania Campus.
