TeacherConnect is designed to grow culturally-responsive, anti-racist educators in Washington County. Recognizing the history of oppression and racism in Oregon, we are collaborating to fill critical shortages of linguistically and/or culturally diverse teachers.
TeacherConnect includes
- Individualized affinity mentoring
- Fully BIPOC cohorts taught by BIPOC instructors in Education classes specifically
- Bilingual Bicultural coach/navigator
- Onboarding support with Washington County school districts, Portland Community College, and four-year colleges and universities
- Tuition assistance at the Oregon university of your choosing
- Scholarship, emergency assistance, and student teacher stipends
