Zoom is a simple web conferencing app with the tools you need to engage your students in various educational opportunities. Attendees can easily join your sessions via mobile devices or computers. Webcam, microphone, chat, polling, screen-sharing integration, and ability to control others’ shared content creates a highly interactive environment for attendees no matter their location. The modern interface makes it a snap to learn.
Obtaining a PCC Zoom Account
- Go to https://portlandcc.zoom.us/ and click Sign In
- Enter your MyPCC credentials
- Upon logging in, you will now have a PCC Zoom account
Update Zoom on PCC-owned machines
If you attempt to upgrade using any Zoom pop-up messages, or via Zoom’s webpage, this may break the installation of Zoom. If you are using a PCC-purchased device, please use the instructions below.

Installing Zoom App on your Chromebooks
Download the Zoom for Chrome – PWA app to your Chromebook device.
Note: This app is installed on all PCC Chromebooks.
Logging into the Zoom Application
To Log in you will:
- Click Sign in
- Click SSO option
- Enter PortlandCC into the company domain field
- Enter your MyPCC username and password
“Unable to connect” error
- This error is commonly caused by having the wrong domain entered when using the SSO sign-in. To check for this, go through the SSO sign-in option on the Zoom client and make sure portlandcc is entered as the company domain.
Zoom Session ends meeting after 45 minutes
- User may have logged in under their personal basic account. PCC’s account does not have a time limit. See?Logging into the Zoom Application for instructions.
