Need a place for an online class when you are on campus? The library has you covered. Stop by the Sylvania Campus Library and check out our online study cubes.
Each cube offers an office-style cubicle with a big desk, a comfortable office chair, a Windows computer workstation, a webcam, and a headset with a mic. Using your own laptop? No problem, there is plenty of space for a laptop, textbooks and whatever else you need during class. The cubes are located in their own area of the library so you can have a bit of privacy to focus on your work.
The library has two types of cubes:
Located in Sylvania Library Room 206, these 6 cubes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Usage is limited to those participating in an online class or online meeting.
Located in Sylvania Library Room 210, students enrolled in an online class may reserve a cube for the entire term. No need to scramble for a spot for your class each week. Place a reservation and your cube will be set up and waiting for you every class session. Please submit a separate request for each online class. Usage is limited to only your class time.
Cubes may be reserved between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm Monday-Thursday and 10:00 am and 4:00 pm Friday.
