Course Information for AY 2023-2024
On-campus Courses MTH 60, MTH 111, MTH253, and MTH 254
The general format for the course involves discussing the topics via guided notes and group work and to work together on problems.? Additionally, weekly assignments, WeBWorK quizzes, and in-class quizzes will be turned in for feedback along with in-class exams.
ALC/ALM Courses
If it’s been awhile since your last math course, or if you would simply like to brush-up on math prerequisites while currently enrolled in a math course, please strongly consider enrolling in 1-2 credit ALC/ALM courses while simultaneously taking your regular math course.? More information about these courses may be found at the math department webpage.
Math Study Skills
The Counseling and Guidance department offers CG 111A Math Study Skills course Winter 2024.? It will start during Week 2 and run for 8 weeks. The class meets remotely over zoom on Tuesday evenings from 6pm – 7:50pm.
If you often find yourself struggling in math, this course is highly recommended as you take a math class alongside this course so you can apply what you are learning in the CG class right away in your regular math class, but it is not necessary.
MTH 60? – Remote Learning (i.e., scheduled at fixed days and times via Zoom)
This class meets regularly on the same days at the same time as a typical on-campus course but instead meets over Zoom.? Having reliable and strong internet connection and access to the course in a quiet space over Zoom will be important.? Virtual proctoring (see below) will also be done for remote courses.
MTH 111? – Distant Learning (i.e., online course)
See the Course Details link in the online schedule for additional information about our course.
