About Me
I am the Program Dean for Course Design and Quality for Online Learning.? My primary responsibilities are to manage the course development workflow and the instructional design team and provide faculty and departments with high-quality online courses.? ?I also co-chair the Accessibility Work Group for the Oregon Community College Distance Learning? Association (OCCDLA).
My educational background is quite broad. I have an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from a liberal arts college with minors in Business Management and Environmental Science. I have Masters degrees in both Economics and Environmental Science & Management. In addition, I have three graduate certificates: Management in Science & Technology, Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, and Sustainability.
I have taught in higher education for 13 years as part-time faculty.? I taught a variety of economics courses, but have also taught Business Communication and Statistics courses.? My Principles of Micro and Macroeconomics courses both used open educational resources (OER) and my Microeconomics course was nationally recognized by Quality Matters.
