Read Ch 5,? and study notes 10 minutes a day.

5.2:? Work at least six problems 11 – 60 using Method of Substitution.? Work problems that have one solution, no solutions or infinitely many solutions.
5.3:? Work at least five problems 7 – 28 using Method of Elimination/Addition.
Worded Problems:? In 5.2 and 5.3 work at least two of each of the following types:
- Investment
- Finding Number of Items
- Mixture
- Comparing Revenue or Plans

Read 7.1.? Problems: 21 – 48 by 3 and check at least five by showing the multiplication.
7.2:? Factor at least half of the problems from 17 – 36 by grouping.? Check?at least five by showing the multiplication.
7.4:? Factor using the table method and work as at least 10 problems in each of the following ranges, 9 – 28, and 41 – 61.??Check?at least five in each range by showing the multiplication.
Please read all of chapter 7 and we will go over four more methods on Tuesday, February 5th.

- 7.3: 11 – 46 and 71 – 80, factor at least half using the Method for Factoring Trinomials with Leading Coefficient of One.? Do a full check on at least five problems.
- 7.5: 13 – 34, factor at least half of these problems using the?Difference of Squares Method.??Do a full check on at least five problems.
- 7.5: 35 – 52, factor at least half of these problems using the Perfect Square Trinomial Method.??Do a full check on at least five problems.
- 7.5: 53 – 68, factor at least half of these problems using the?Sum or Difference of Cubes Method.??Do a full check on at least five problems.
On Tuesday we will look at factoring problems having two or three different methods all? in one problem.? You can wait to finish this section after class on Tuesday.
- 7.6:? 37 – 75 odd and 82.? Note: many of these have two different factoring steps.? Remember to try GCF first.??Do a full check on at least five problems.

Test #2 will be on Thursday, February 14, 2019 on parts of Ch 6 and all of Ch 7.
